Tools
- Core web technologies are my bread and butter: HTML, CSS, Javascript
- On top of these I like to use D3 for data visualisation work and Svelte & Sveltekit for websites
- I'm reasonably familiar with the Adobe suite but prefer Affinity Designer* for image creation and Acorn for image editing
- I can use QGIS when the need arises. The same is true for command line GIS tools like GDAL, though I'll tend to "drive" CLI stuff via a higher level language like Python or NodeJS
* I'm still using the old Designer/Publisher/Photo suite of standalone tools rather than the new Affinity Studio, I haven't really had the time to make the switch. But I have to admit too that I'm a bit reluctant to switch to a "free" tool when I moved to Affinity to step away from subscription and ad funded revenue models in the first place.
